Allow me to begin this post by stating if you’re debating whether or not to spend the money and invest in a pair of Airpods for yourself, don’t. I’m saying this because I, like many others, fell victim to Airpods when they first came out and purchased them hurriedly because they were the wireless headphones to possess. They’re overpriced, not great quality, if you ask me, and I do not like how they feel in my ears.
An additional issue I have with my Airpods is the volume – they aren’t loud enough for me to be able to actually determine what song I’m listening to when I’m using farm equipment. I spend a decent amount of time on a lawn mower, and this year, I decided to do a bit of research and see what sorts of other wireless headphones are in existence.
I came across a recommendation for AOTONOK wireless Bluetooth headphones via a Buzzfeed article, and after reading through the reviews, I figured I would give them a try. I purchased mine from Amazon for a fraction of what I paid for my Airpods, and after trying them out today, I am extremely happy with my purchase.
These headphones come with a rechargeable case, and the battery in these puppies is insane. You get 40 hours of playtime with a full charge, and it takes less than two hours to charge them completely.
My AirPods die within eight hours of consistent use, to give you some perspective.
Furthermore, the sound quality of these headphones is stellar. They’re loud as fuck, and I will not be needing to listen to them on full volume even when I’m on equipment – that’s how loud they are.
If I could go back in time and find these headphones when Airpods came out, I would buy them instead in a damn heartbeat. They also have these neat little hooks to ensure the headphones don’t fall out of your ear, and seeing as my Airpods often get sent flying when I get whacked upside the head by a low-hanging tree branch while on the lawn mower, this feature is one I can certainly appreciate.
