Let’s hear it for Margot Robbie

Since I saw her in I, Tonya, Margot Robbie has been my biggest celebrity crush, and I doubt my crush will be subsiding any day soon.

I am heterosexual and am happily married to a man, however, Mrs. Robbie has had me questioning my own sexuality from time to time. She is gorgeous, talented, and, while this sounds a little ridiculous seeing as I don’t know her personally to any extent, she seems kind and genuine, which I can appreciate.

Blaine, my husband, and I, were chatting a few nights ago about how we should rewatch I, Tonya, as we both love it, and naturally, I started thinking about Margot. I then realized I hadn’t yet dedicated a post to her, so here we are.

Here is a brief biography of Mrs. Robbie, from imdb.com.

“Margot Elise Robbie was born on July 2, 1990 in Dalby, Queensland, Australia to Scottish parents. Her mother, Sarie Kessler, is a physiotherapist, and her father, is Doug Robbie. She comes from a family of four children, having two brothers and one sister. She graduated from Somerset College in Mudgeeraba, Queensland, Australia, a suburb in the Gold Coast hinterland of South East Queensland, where she and her siblings were raised by their mother and spent much of her time at the farm belonging to her grandparents. In her late teens, she moved to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia to pursue an acting career.”

Some of her best-known roles include Tonya Harding in I, Tonya; Naomi in The Wolf of Wall Street; Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad; and most recently, Barbie in Barbie.

It isn’t too often I come across an actor or actress that, for whatever reason, resonates with me on a personal level, and Margot Robbie is one such example. I hope to see her in a lot more roles in the future.

  1. I absolutely loved her in Barbie! I haven’t watched I, Tonya but will have to now! I really had no desire to see Barbie, but when your grand daughter invites you to the movie, you throw on something pink and head to the theatre. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised 😊
