For anyone unfamiliar with the terminology pump-up song, please do not stress. In essence, a pump-up song is a tune that gets us going in one way or another; most athletes rely on music to light a fire under their ass prior to going out and competing, and songs that have the ability to ignite said fire are often referred to as pump-up ones.
We all have different tastes and preferences with music, so what one person may deem a pump-up song may be viewed by another as boring. I thought it might be interesting to share with you some of the most common pump-up songs, followed by my own favourites.
