Living in the country is truly wonderful. It’s far quieter and more private than living in a city or residential area, and the views are unmatched. I wouldn’t trade living in a rural area for anything, and there are certainly more pros to it than there are cons.
One negative to living in the country is that most delivery services do not come out this far. The big names do, like Amazon, FedEx, UPS, etc., but in terms of local food deliveries, pickings can be sparse.
On a whim a few evenings ago, I decided to check out Uber Eats to determine if they’ve broadened their delivery service region (they never used to come out to where we are), and I was positively delighted to learn they have. It almost seemed too good to be true initially, but after some amateur investigation, I deemed it to be true and I placed a dinner order for me and Blaine.
I was even more delighted to discover that Uber Eats is currently offering free delivery to any order over $16.00. In today’s economy, living here in Canada, there are few things you can get for under $16, especially when it comes to food – needless to say, our delivery fee was covered with the items we ordered, and our food arrived within 30 minutes of placing the order on the website.
The delivery driver was incredibly pleasant, and our food came in perfect condition. We had to heat it up a little bit, but I would have been shocked if we didn’t need to.
I have no clue when Uber Eats decided to widen their delivery service area, but I am stoked they did. Uber Eats is efficient as hell when you’re in a pinch for time, and I have no doubt I’ll be ordering from it again soon.
