What is your go-to Montana’s order?

I suspect most people who possess taste buds have been to Montana’s at least once in their lives. I don’t think it is an exclusively Canadian restaurant chain, but, in the instance it is, I do offer my sincerest apologies to my American neighbours; without sounding too harsh, you’re missing out.

I don’t go to Montana’s too frequently, but Blaine and I probably go there once every few months. I was there recently with a good friend of mine for lunch, and, as always, I ordered my go-to items from Montana’s menu.

I almost always order two appetizers and split them to make a meal, and then I bring the other half home for a second meal at a later date. I absolutely love their deep-fried pickles, in addition to the dipping sauce they serve alongside them, and I also am a tremendous fan of their Bang Bang shrimp.

I’ve had Bang Bang shrimp at a few different places now, and Montana’s reigns the victor by a landslide. A close runner-up, believe it or not, is BarBurrito’s Bang Bang shrimp, but, sadly, BarBurrito does not offer their shrimp as a meal, but, rather, as an ingredient in either a bowl or a burrito.

My sister normally gets a hamburger, and I have heard from a few people, my husband included, that their burgers are tasty. My dad often orders ribs, and my mom likes their Chicken Burrito Bowl.

Montana’s prices are affordable, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is certainly family-friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience eating there, and as I write this post, I’m waiting for Blaine to finish getting cleaned up to go there and meet my parents and sister for dinner. Will I order my go-to? More than likely. It’s delicious and I know what I like. Sue me.
