I’ve been seeing a fair amount of material via Instagram as of late regarding how beneficial cloves can be when it comes to dental issues.
Yes, I realize this knowledge came from social media, and yes, I am aware that one should not believe everything they see online.
Now that we have gotten the disclaimer out of the way, let’s proceed, shall we?
While Instagram might not be the most reliable source in terms of medical information, I decided to do some research on clove and how it can enhance dental hygiene. I would wager if you were to ask a dentist or a doctor their take on the matter, they would scrutinize it and say it isn’t worth trying. But, because I no longer place an ounce of trust in medical professionals, I say the experiment is worth trying.
I’m at a point in my life where I prefer to place my trust in natural approaches to medicine, and I am a firm believer that many of the things that exist naturally in our world, like clove, as an example, can work wonders in the context of certain ailments. Herbs and plant extracts are what got me feeling a bit better with Lyme disease, so I definitely think there is truth and success in natural medicine.
Check out the following information from thewhitetusk.com.
“Cloves have been used in traditional medicine for centuries, particularly in the realm of dentistry. The active ingredient in cloves, eugenol, is known for its numbing and pain-relieving properties. Eugenol has natural analgesic (pain-relieving) and antiseptic qualities, making it a perfect remedy for toothaches and gum pain. Additionally, cloves contain anti-inflammatory compounds that can help reduce swelling in the gums and around the affected tooth.
“What sets cloves apart from other natural remedies is their ability to target dental pain specifically. Whether it’s the discomfort from a cavity, a sore gum, or post-dental procedure pain, cloves can bring much-needed relief without the harsh chemicals found in some over-the-counter painkillers,” the web page explains.
Check back tomorrow for part two.
