Within the past few years, vaping, as a concept, has absolutely exploded in terms of its popularity amongst all sorts of folks and ages. Some people positively despise the idea of vaping, while others fully support it, but personally, I cannot comprehend the logic behind people choosing to vape who have never been smokers of any sort, whether it be cannabis or tobacco.
I started smoking cigarettes when I was 18. I truly wish I had never begun, and while I’ve attempted to quit a handful of times, my lack of success is tied to how much I enjoy smoking. I’ve been told by a few people who have been successful in axing the habit that quitting will not happen until you honestly decide you want to stop, and because I continue to enjoy it, I imagine any future attempts won’t prove to be terribly victorious.
I decided to purchase a vape a few years back in an attempt to cut back on cigarettes. I am pleased to report that my intended theory did work, except I am now at a point where I’m addicted to both cigarettes and my vape. So, while my intentions were pure, I’m still facing my original problem, and I now dabble in two different forms of smoking.
If you are not a smoker and you never have been, please save your lungs as well as a lot of money and do not start vaping. I will never understand why people decide to start vaping when they have never smoked any substance in their lives, and without being a Debbie Downer, allow me to warn you that you’re setting yourself up for a habit that is extremely difficult to stop. Save your lungs and your wallet, and perhaps consider chewing gum or dabbling in some savvy mints instead.
