What is your all-time favourite television series?

I think we could all agree that at some point or another, we have seen a television series that stays with us long after we have finished watching it in its entirety. If a show can have this effect, it usually means it was exceptionally well done, and when I ponder on the topic, there are certainly a few that come to mind for me, personally.

Allow me to state that, as much as I love and appreciate Brooklyn Nine Nine, I wouldn’t say it even compares to the following shows, mainly because Brooklyn Nine Nine is a comfort show, and one I watch to chuckle and disassociate from reality.

When I contemplate shows that I still think about because they were that fucking good, the following come to mind:

Peaky Blinders – If you know, you know. This series is brilliant in all aspects, and I often consider what a privilege it would be to watch this series again for the first time. Aside from character deaths, I don’t have a single complaint, and it is an absolute masterpiece.

Sons of Anarchy – Similar to my comments about Peaky Blinders, Sons of Anarchy will forever be one of my favourite series.

Game of Thrones – With the exception of the final and shitty season, this show is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. The cinematography, the visual effects, the characters and the music are just a few of the incredible aspects of this series.

Vikings – If you’re going to watch any Viking-related series, this is the one to see. I’ve lost count of how many times I have rewatched this show, and Travis Fimmel as Ragnar Lothbrok will arguably be my favourite depiction of a Viking of all time.

The Last Kingdom – Similar to Vikings, this show checks all of the boxes, and I fail to tire of rewatching it.
