Hairbrushes, while rather important, are not something I dedicate a tremendous amount of thought towards. I’ve been using the same Wet Brush for probably about ten years now, and I wasn’t really anticipating an upgrade anytime soon.
I’ve mentioned before that I occasionally dabble in Buzzfeed articles that list products available on a variety of sites with fantastic ratings, and upon reading one such article recently, I learned about KITSCH hairbrushes.
Well, I can’t really say I learned about them in the article. I spotted them there, then did a little bit of reading to try to determine why these brushes are so well-loved.
KITSCH has a few different hairbrushes on the market, but the one I saw in the Buzzfeed article was the Scalp Renewal Brush. I figured I would order it and see if it lives up to the hype, and going by what this brush claims to do, I sincerely hope to be satisfied.
Here is a description of this brush from mykitsch.ca:
“Ultra-soft nylon bristles that glide like a dream, giving your scalp a gentle wake-up without any tugging or irritation.
“Multi-level bristles that reach every strand and layer, effortlessly detangling all hair types.
“Ergonomic handle with a no-slip grip so you’re always in total control—even in steamy shower moments.
“Totally versatile: perfect for dry scalp massages, pre-shampoo exfoliation, in-shower lathering, or spreading your favorite oils and serums evenly from root to tip.
“Stimulates scalp circulation for healthier hair and a refreshed feel.
“Gentle yet effective, suitable for sensitive or dry scalps.
“Minimizes breakage while detangling, keeping hair smooth and shiny.
“Helps treatments, oils, and serums absorb more effectively for better results,” the web page states.
I was a little surprised by how small this brush is, but I’m curious to see what it will do with my hair, and I’ll keep all of you posted.
