When I was in my teens, I had a hell of a time with armpit sweat. I figure it is worth stipulating that despite the monsoon stemming from my armpit region, odour was never an issue for me, as odd as that sounds. I would sweat so badly that the stains were down to my waist, and it got to a point of such tremendous insecurity that I started wearing only black shirts to hide it.
I had spoken to a couple of doctors about it, and one of the options mentioned for controlling excessive armpit sweating was Botox. I was a child, and my mom wasn’t a big fan of this idea, understandably, so I figured I was doomed for eternity with my sopping pits.
A few years ago now, while in Ohio with my mom and dad, a commercial came on the television that my mom instantly directed my attention towards. The ad was for a deodorant of sorts, but deodorant really isn’t the proper term for the formulation of this product.
The product in question is made by Carpe, and the reason I say that deodorant isn’t the best description of this product is that Carpe makes a version of its ‘deodorant’ for just about every region of the body – face, feet, hands, you name it.
I’ve been using Carpe for probably at least five years now, and it has changed my life. I apply the sort-of-deodorant cream (I really don’t know how to best describe it) every night prior to going to bed, and I think in all of the years I’ve been using Carpe, I’ve had armpit sweat stains perhaps twice.
I haven’t encountered many people who are familiar with this product, so I’m here to spread the word and hopefully minimize the issue of excess sweating for someone out there. This stuff works.
