Struggling to clean your baseboards? Read this

If there is one cleaning task I despise drastically more than others, it’s dusting. Dusting, to me, is positively infuriating in the sense that you could quite literally dust your home on a daily basis, and still find remnants of the shit. It’s never-ending, and dust can honestly just piss off, if I’m being entirely transparent.

I have an extendable feather duster that I normally use to clean my baseboards, but, as most homeowners are arguably aware, baseboards tend to collect more than simply dust over time. I’ll go along with a wet wipe and clean marks and other spots off of them here and there, but crouching down like a damn goblin to do this isn’t the most pleasant option.

My feather duster recently shit the bed, and before purchasing a new one, I thought I would see what is available in terms of baseboard cleaning devices in hopes of making the task a wee bit easier. I came across the Qaestfy Wall & Baseboard Cleaner Mop Tool via Amazon and ordered it, and while I have to try it out because it hasn’t arrived just yet, the thing looks very promising.

Here is what the product claims to do, according to its page on Amazon.ca:

“【Baseboard & Molding Cleaner Tool】49″ Long Handle Unique shape follows the baseboard’s contour. Protection for the back up to a 49” handle. Stooping to clean baseboard, mouldings, ceiling, windows, bathtubs, and floors won’t be necessary any longer.

“【Dust Sweeper Mops for Cleaning Floors】Use a chenille (orange-colored) mop to keep your floors dust-free and spotless. Or clean windows before dusting them. Use on any flat surface is possible. similar to windows, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tile floors.

“【All-purpose Dry and Wet Floor Mop】The chenille pad is better used in dry conditions to dust floors and windows before deep cleaning, while the microfiber pad can be used wet or dry to clean all types of floors and walls.

“【Replaceable and Machine-washable】Mop pads are available. The microfiber replacement head model is designated QAE014; the chenille pad model is designated QAE015.

“【Squeegee with Long Handle for Windows】A thick rubber blade won’t leave smudges and won’t scratch your tiles or windows,” the web page explains.

Considering the fantastic reviews this device has, in combination with a rather affordable price of $30, I’m hopeful it’s going to be a winner.
