I am fully conscious of the fact that I fail to be a professional Youtube beauty vlogger and therefore do not really possess any qualifications to accurately state what the best makeup products of 2016 were, however I do have my own personal favourites that I think are worth sharing. I am not particularly adventurous when it comes to cosmetics, however in 2016 I did discover a few products that have become staples in my beauty routine and I would like to share my experiences with said products with you.
So, without any further babbling, here are my top three makeup products from 2016.
(1) Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup: This foundation is by far the best I have ever used in terms of coverage, longevity, appearance and colour accuracy. I have oily skin and this is one of the only foundations that keeps my skin looking matte from morning to evening. They shade spectrum is vast meaning there is arguably a colour for everyone, and the coverage is surreal. It is rather pricey, however for the performance this product gives I am willing to pay.
(2) Cover FX Bronzer: I started using this bronzer this past Autumn and the performance of this product has blown me away. This bronzer has a shade that is appropriate for every season, and it is the only bronzer I am able to contour with without looking like I have two muddy blotches across my cheeks. It is bendable and does not separate on the skin, and it looks natural and sits beautifully on the face. Again, this product is expensive, but I find the price to be justifiable when considering the performance of this bronzer.
(3) Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara: This mascara is not only affordable but it easy to locate because it is sold in most drugstores. This mascara gives my lashes volume, length, curl and depth without clumping or flaking, and it wears beautifully all day long. I used this mascara throughout all of 2016 without switching once, so it is apparent that I am a devoted fan to this product.
