With the surplus of rain that the region of Ontario has been experiencing over these past few days, I have found myself feeling quite frustrated with the inability to work outside. It is difficult to work with machines when the ground is so saturated with excess water, therefore I have found myself primarily house-bound, trying to determine what I can do in this wet weather.
I thought I would compose a list of things to do on a rainy day for anyone else feeling somewhat trapped because of this weather. Feel free to comment below and recommend some other activities!
- Start a new television series
- Curl up with a good book
- Have a movie marathon
- Conduct an indoor workout
- Experiment with some new baking recipes
- Get caught up on cleaning
- Get caught up on sleep
- Have a bubble bath
- Run some errands that have been creeping up on you
- Have a family game night
- Get creative with some DIY arts and crafts
- Clean the interior of your vehicles
- Clean out your closet
- Volunteer in your community
- Begin journaling
- Educate yourself on a topic you’re uninformed about
- Give yourself a manicure/pedicure
- Clean out the fridge/pantry
- Do laundry
- Clean your jewelry
- Wash your bedding
- Have an at-home spa day and experiment with some new hair/face masks
- Go to the movies
- Reconnect with friends or family
- Explore some new music
- Go through old photo albums
- Clean up your social media profiles
- Rearrange some furniture for a new look in your home
- Give your pets a bath
- Take the day and simply relax, if needed
Rainy days can be a simultaneous blessing and curse, but they certainly present ample opportunity to get caught up on some things that were beginning to escalate in your life. Take advantage of these gloomy days and do something you have been wanting to do for some time!
Great list! I love rainy days! Xx
