My Makeup Routine

Considering I watch a select few beauty individuals on YouTube and enjoy their videos, I thought I would create a post in which I describe my own makeup routine and the products I make use of. My routine works for me personally, and while I am not in any way attempting to impose my routine or the products I use on others, if you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment below.

After my face is washed, toned and moisturizer, I apply the Tarte Clean Slate Flawless primer to my t-zone (forehead, chin and nose) with my fingertips. I then mix my Estée Lauder foundation with some Colour FX Custom Cover Drops on top of my hand with a q-tip and apply the mixture to my face with a Sephora foundation brush. I use the cover drops in the summer months in order to ensure my face matches the rest of my body in terms of a tan. Next I apply the Cover FX mattifying powder to my face with a powder brush from Sephora, making sure to press the powder into my skin, specifically in my t-zone. Once this is complete, I apply the Cover FX bronzer to the hollows on my cheeks and around my hairline, and once this is complete I begin to fill in my brows, which is described in a previous post, using the Anastasia Dip Brow pomade and the Marcella brow gel. Once my brows are finished I apply mascara (right now I’m trying to finish up my Benefit They’re Real mascara which I also addressed in a former post), fix any smudges with a q-tip, and conclude by spritzing my face with the Cover FX priming and mattifying spray. I wash my brushes once I have finished applying my makeup with a gentle Dove cream cleaner, and the entire process takes me approximately twenty minutes. My routine is simple yet effective, and it’s a great routine for any person looking for a quick and simple routine.

* If I use concealer for blemishes or dark spots, I use the Tarte Shape Tape concealer after applying my foundation and prior to applying my powder. I dot the concealer on designated areas and use my foundation brush to blend it into my skin.
