Product Review: Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash

I apologize for beating a dead horse in regards to often I have discussed dry, winter skin as of late, but I wanted to review Dove’s Deep Moisture Body Wash because it truly is a fantastic product to make use of throughout the winter months.

I have been using this body wash consistently for approximately six months now, regardless of the season, and I can say with confidence that it is the best soap I have ever used. I experimented with some different body washes from The Body Shop for a while, and although I enjoyed their quality and performance, the Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash knocks their performance out of the park.

These descriptive points about this products are derived from the Dove website:

  • NutriumMoisture technology delivers natural nutrients to the skin
  • Nourishes deep into the surface layers of Stratum Corneum (SC)
  • Helps maintain your skin’s moisture barrier as you cleanse
  • Mild, gentle formula is kind to your skin
  • Suitable for daily use
  • Gives you softer, smoother skin after just one shower

I can attest to the fact that all of these descriptive points are accurate. This product comes in a variety of scents, some examples being shea butter with vanilla, plum and sakura blossom, cucumber and green tea, mandarin and tiare flower, sweet cream and peony, blue fig and orange blossom, pear and aloe vera and pomegranate and lemon verbena. I would recommend sticking to an unscented version of this product if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to fragrance, but I imagine the scented versions smell lovely.

This product is inexpensive and high-quality, and I do not see myself switching to a different body wash anytime soon. Give it a try and see for yourself this winter, and let me know your thoughts and opinions towards it!
