Earlier this week my mom and I took my grandparents out for dinner to Lemongrass restaurant in Hamilton, Ontario. Lemongrass offers Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, and this occasion was my second time eating at the restaurant.
I wanted to dedicate a post to Lemongrass because it really is a fantastic restaurant. The restaurant in Hamilton is located on Garth Street, and I believe there are other locations throughout Ontario.
Lemongrass has a large menu and offers something to please just about anyone. Whether it be seafood, beef, chicken, pork, or vegetarian dishes, their food is fresh, delicious, and steaming hot, and the prices are incredibly reasonable to boot.
The first time I ate at Lemongrass I had the chicken Pho, which was fantastic, and this past time I tried the shrimp with mixed vegetables, which is my favourite dish that I have had at the restaurant thus far. The shrimp with mixed vegetables features tiger shrimp, sprouts, bamboo shoots, red and green peppers, all of which is tossed in a tasty garlic soy sauce. Their entrees are served with jasmine rice, and the portions are a great size – not too large, but definitely not too small.
Most of Lemongrass’ dishes are intended to serve one person, but they do offer dishes meant for sharing. They offer several different types of dessert, and all of their menu options that are gluten-free or vegan are listed, making this restaurant a great option for myself and any other individual who deals with food intolerances or allergies.
I have always enjoyed Vietnamese and Thai cuisine for their delectable flavours and fresh ingredients, and Lemongrass is a perfect example of how fantastic these types of cuisine are. If you ever see a Lemongrass restaurant, consider stopping in, and I assure you that you will not be disappointed.
