Summer Date Ideas

Date night between a couple is time intended to serve as enjoyable and romantic, not boring. Yet, over time, it becomes difficult to come up with new and exciting date ideas to keep things fresh between you and your partner.

I did some brainstorming and did my best to come up with some unique and fun Summer date ideas. Some of these activities can be enjoyed year-round, and I hope my ideas can potentially benefit at least one couple.

  • Go for a picnic. Picnic’s, to me, are a great way to spend quality time with your significant other, and they’re a romantic change to going to a restaurant for a meal. Pack some sandwiches and salads, find a quiet place to relax, and take a couple of hours to simply enjoy one another’s company.
  • Go fishing. I starrted to fish in my boyfriend’s company roughly two years, and it has quickly become one of our favourite pasttimes. Fishing is incredibly relaxing, and doing it with someone you love is a truly unique experience.
  • Go croup touring.  I realize this date idea is likely only applicable to a select few couples, depending where you live, but again, this is a favourite for my boyfriend and I. Driving through his or my family’s fields, observing the crops and touring around is a great way to spend quality time with one another.
  • Barbecue together. Try making a barbecued meal with your partner, and don’t be afraid to get creative. Try grilling something completely foreign – not only will the experience be insightful and eye-opening, but chances are you’ll have a blast while doing it.

These are just a few of my own ideas, based on what my boyfriend and I enjoy doing in one another’s company, but if you have any suggestions, please let me know in the comments!
