I absolutely love Mexican food. My entire family does, actually, so when we have the opportunity to grab some, you can bet your sombrero we do.
My sister has been going to Guac Mexi Grill in Brantford for a few years now. I’ve eaten there a few times, though I haven’t been for quite a while. She and I were in Brantford the other day, running errands, and we told our parents we would grab takeout for dinner from somewhere. Danielle, my sister, proposed Guac, so that’s where we ordered from.
Danielle had a steak burrito, my mom had a burrito bowl, my Dad had a steak burrito, and I had a shrimp one. There was an option to transform any burrito into an enchilada, so I opted to do this for my Dad’s and my burrito.
Hot damn, this shit is good.
While I’m not one to pit businesses against each other, I do think it is worth mentioning that Guac’s burritos are, hands down, better than Bar Burritos. Guac’s burritos are absolutely packed with flavour, unlike Bar Burrito’s, in my own humble opinion, and I prefer Guac’s sauces, salsa(s) and toppings.
Guac offers burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, enchiladas, nachos, salads and quesadillas, meaning there is arguably something for everyone, and I think they’re one of the more affordable Mexican ‘fast food’ chains. They even offer desserts, for example, brownies, cookies and churros.
When I’ve eaten at Guac in the past, I’ve gotten burritos, to the best of my recollection. After having my burrito made as an enchilada, I can say with complete confidence that I doubt I’ll ever get a regular burrito again. It is positively delicious when your burrito caterpillar progresses into a majestic enchilada butterfly.
Guac is fresh, fast and fantastic. If you haven’t eaten here before, I’m hoping this post encourages you to try it.
