Welcome home, Lenny

I can’t recall for certain whether or not I shared with all of you what happened to my parent’s dog, Finn, a while back, but I feel as though I probably did. Just in case, Finn was seriously injured on our farm, and she stayed with Blaine and me for two months while she recuperated.

Blaine and I agreed before we got married that we would get a dog, but we were hesitant once we moved into our home because we are situated rather close to the road. But, after we had a bit of a trial run with Finn, we decided to go for it, and about two weeks ago, we adopted an incredible rescue dog from the SPCA in Brantford named Lenny.

Lenny is a nine-month-old Australian Blue Heeler mix, and she is an absolute blessing in our lives. This sweetie had us hooked within the first few seconds of meeting her, and we agreed that she would be an incredible addition to our little family.

Lenny comes all the way from North Carolina, and while we weren’t able to find out much regarding her background and/or origins, we were told in advance that she is a sweetheart and very food motivated, two characteristics which she has undoubtedly proven to be true. She is playful, hilarious, and full of energy, but also a cuddle bug and pretty docile when it comes to children and most people from what we have been able to gather so far.

Lenny has brought so much joy to our lives, and we are so fortunate to have had the privilege of being introduced to her, courtesy of the Brantford SPCA. I believe she found us just as much as we found her, and I also have to say that adoption is a wonderful idea for anyone looking for a new friend.
