Lucky Charms Pillsbury Soft Baked Cookies: yay or nay?

I’ve said it before and I will say it again; regardless of how much preparation you undertake prior to visiting Costco, you will always end up grabbing items you were not planning on getting.

You don’t go to Costco with a list – Costco provides you with your list. Or, rather, you don’t tell Costco what you need – Costco tells you.

Not in actuality, but anyone who visits Costco on a fairly regular basis will absolutely understand my assertion.

I don’t think I’ve ever gone to Costco without getting something I was not planning to, but that’s the beauty of Costco – you simply never know what sorts of deals you might encounter, despite your wallet’s cries of protest.

The last time I was at Costco, I picked up a box of Lucky Charms Pillsbury Soft Baked Cookies in miniature size. I thought Blaine might enjoy them as part of his lunch when he is at work, so I didn’t mind purchasing such a large-sized box. They sounded great; the combination of Pillsbury soft baked cookies with Lucky Charms cereal flavour is one that should blend harmoniously, but sadly, neither me nor Blaine is terribly impressed with them.

Blaine tried them before me and told me they didn’t offer much flavour. My husband isn’t normally overly picky when it comes to sweets, so I was sort of figuring his experience was a poor one-time incident. I tried them and was disappointed, too – Blaine’s verdict matched my own, and unfortunately, these cookies really don’t have a ton of flavour. They smell fantastic, which is what really got my hopes up, but apparently, they smell better than they taste.

I believe there are about five small cookies in one package, so you’re looking at having to eat two if we are being realistic, but I would say save your money and pass on these.
