Let’s make Lauren’s Cheesy Beef Fries

Allow me to admit that the title I’ve come up with for this particular recipe may not have the most allure, but please believe me when I say I was attempting to go for a name that is as realistic and descriptive as possible.

I don’t think things are going to get any better in terms of the name of this dish, so let’s just move past it together, shall we?

I’ve made this concoction roughly half a dozen times now for Blaine and me, and it positively slaps each and every time we eat it. It’s simple, quick, and absolutely delicious, so without tooting my own horn, I do recommend trying it out.

Lauren’s Cheesy Beef Fries

You will need (for two generous portions and some leftovers)

  • One tbsp of cooking oil
  • 1/2 pound of thawed, local ground beef
  • One tbsp of salt
  • One tbsp of pepper
  • One tbsp of herb mix
  • One tbsp of Hungarian paprika
  • One tbsp of onion powder
  • One tbsp of garlic powder
  • One tbsp of Montreal Steak Spice
  • One tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup of Cheese Whiz
  • One bag of frozen french fries
  • More salt and pepper
  • Whatever condiments you enjoy

Directions:

  • Begin by browning your ground beef in a pan with your cooking oil on medium heat
  • Once the beef begins to change from pink to brown, add in all of your herbs and your Worcestershire sauce
  • Mix evenly and allow to continue cooking (you may have to turn heat down to low)
  • While your beef is cooking, cook your french fries however you prefer (I use an air fryer)
  • Once the fries are done, plate them and set aside
  • Add your Cheese Whiz into your beef and allow it to melt, stirring until mixed in evenly
  • Add your beef to your french fries and top with condiments and salt and pepper

I top mine with ketchup, honey mustard sauce and hot sauce.
