Chocolate bars: which one reigns supreme?

Before anyone jumps down my throat in an attempt to berate me about eating chocolate bars, which, as most of us are aware, contain a plethora of shit that should arguably not be classified as food, allow me to state that balance is key. A heavily processed chocolate bar here and there is a chance I am more than willing to take, chemicals or no, because the shit tastes good.

If you reside in North America, you will understand my meaning when I say that, present-day, there are more varieties and types of chocolate bars in existence than ever before. The ample selection is appreciated, but I do like to think I’ve found my favourites, and I’m curious about what yours might be, too.

I can’t really pick one as the main victor, but the following includes my own chocolate bar preferences.

Reese Peanut Butter Cups – if you know, you know – The combination of chocolate and peanut butter is one of my favourite flavours in existence, and these guys are always good.

Twix Bars – The blend of chocolate, cookie and all of the wonderful components of a Twix bar is always appreciated and savoured.

Smarties – Technically, Smarties aren’t a chocolate bar in the sense of their shape, but I’m including them anyway. I was an absolute fiend for Smarties when I was a kid, and not much has changed now that I’m an adult.

Nestle Crunch Bars – Simply a classic, and one I doubt I will ever tire of; the crunch of the rice puffs is unmatched and so tasty.

Hershey’s Cookies and Cream Bars – I love just about anything cookies and cream flavoured, and this chocolate bar offers just that, with the fantastic addition of milk chocolate.

Bueno Bars – these guys are basically just heaven in your mouth, and their hazelnutty vibes are pristine.

What are your favourite chocolate bars? Do you have an absolute, number one choice? If so, let me know in the comments.
