Read this to make cleaning easier

I really don’t mind cleaning, but there are certainly times when I can’t help but contemplate that the time required to maintain a clean home could be put to better use. That is not to suggest that cleaning isn’t important, because it certainly is, and seeing as I was raised by a Dutch mother, my standards of cleanliness are relatively high compared to most.

I fucking despise dusting, but I think most people feel this way about the dreaded task.

I thought I would research some cleaning hacks to share with all of you in hopes of making some aspects of cleaning a bit more efficient, and this information comes from buzzfeed.com. Check it out.

“‘Shaving cream can work as a defogger on your mirrors — any cheap kind will do! Put it all over the area you want defogged, let it sit for 15 minutes or so, then wipe or squeegee it off. It’s like magic! The mirrors stay fog-free for weeks!’

“‘I use my hairdryer to blow out dust bunnies from under my dresses, nightstand, and anywhere else I can’t reach under.’

“‘I use banana peels to touch up my interior doors after they’ve been scraped. It even helps with furniture scrapes.’

“‘Scared of highly toxic bathroom tub cleansers? Get a scrubby sponge, pour dish detergent on it, and add a good amount of baking soda! Scrub gently, then rinse! It’ll leave things sparkling clean, and it’s safe for your body!’

“‘Keeping a dish scrubber filled with vinegar and soap in your shower to quickly scrub down the walls while showering is the best thing I’ve found.’

“You need to start using liquid soap in showers and bathtubs. There will be no soap scum to clean behind. I was so thrilled when I discovered this method!'” the web article states.

These pieces of advice are from actual human beings, so rest assured they’ve been tried and tested.
