If you have visited a McDonald’s location in the past little while, you have arguably noticed that their Monopoly partnership is underway. To my knowledge, this collaboration has been a thing for quite a while now, although I only started engaging with the Monopoly perks last year. To be honest, I deemed the entire thing a waste of time and figured that, because I have shit luck, I would never win a damn thing, but after hearing from a few people that it was worth doing, I swallowed my pride and decided to give it a go.
I have yet to win any sort of grand prize, and as fantastic as that would be, I really cannot complain because of the many other, smaller prizes I have, in fact, been the recipient of.
I think the best thing I won last year was a free six-piece chicken nugget meal, but as of this year, and only having submitted my sticker entries twice, I am doing relatively well. I have won free points, which I put to use in the Mcdonald’s app to save money; I have won a free muffin; I have also won a free medium-sized French Fry.
It is a bit of a struggle submitting my Monopoly stickers that are stuck to the food packaging, depending on what you order, because I have hand tremors and opt for the photo submission feature as opposed to typing out a 30-character jumble of letters and numbers. But, with a bit of patience, I can make it work, and aside from having to be careful when removing these stickers from the food packaging because they occasionally hang on for dear life, the entire process isn’t too bad, considering the prizes that can be won.
I’m sincerely hoping to earn the pure gold hamburger, but I am happy with my smaller winnings thus far. So, yes, I do consider Mcdonald’s Monopoly to be worth it.
