If you consider yourself a country music fan and haven’t yet heard of Mr. Kip Moore, then boy, do I have a discovery for you. If you ask me, this man is an incredibly underrated musician, and if you’ve been sleeping on him and his sound, allow me to be your alarm clock, blaring loud and clear, my friends.
Kip Moore is an American country music singer and songwriter who hails from Georgia. If you listen to country music, there is a strong chance you’ve heard the song ‘Something ‘Bout A Truck’ which happens to be Kip’s.
This guy’s sound is like a soothing grit with a hint of rock. It’s incredibly unique, and the first time my ears were blessed with this man’s pipes, I was hooked. I’ve been a big fan ever since and have seen him in concert twice with Blaine. We actually just saw him play in London, Ontario, this past weekend, and he sounded fantastic. Kip puts on a great show and is quite interactive with the audience, and his tickets have always been very affordable, which is something I can certainly appreciate.
Some of my favourite songs by Mr. Moore include ‘Come and Get It’, ‘Comeback Kid’, ‘Heart’s Desire, ‘Hey Pretty Girl’, ‘Crazy One More Time’, ‘Beer Money’, ‘Runnin’ For You’, ‘Wild Ones’, ‘Dirt Road’, ‘I’m to Blame’, ‘Bittersweet Company’ and ‘Backseat’. I highly recommend giving them a listen if you haven’t heard them.
‘Comeback Kid’ was the song I danced to with Blaine for our first dance together as a married couple at our wedding, and it holds quite a bit of significance to us both.
The talent this guy possesses is remarkable, and I commend him for staying true to his sound and songwriting through the years. I sincerely hope he returns to the GTA region again soon.
