What are your go-to exercise songs?

I originally planned to title this post “What are your go-to running songs?” but I changed my mind because the latter option is a wee bit exclusive. Exercise can be performed in all sorts of different ways, not solely via running, so I wanted to ensure this post is as widespread and accommodating as possible.

I got back into running this past summer, and because I much prefer to run while listening to motivating, upbeat music, I thought I would share some of the songs that meet my ears while I’m attempting to suck back air. Maintaining motivation while running can be tricky, so I personally find listening to some music that lights a fire under your ass is the best method to approach it with.

Here are some of my favourite exercise songs:

  • The Motto by Ava Max and Tiësto
  • Whole Lotta Rose by AC/DC
  • It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘N’ Roll) by AC/DC
  • Hypnotize by the Notorious B.I.G.
  • Get Busy by Sean Paul
  • Voulez-Vous from the ‘Mamma Mia’ soundtrack
  • Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! from the ‘Mama Mia’ soundtrack
  • Rasputin by Majestic and Boney M.
  • Let Me Think About It by Fedde Le Grand and Ida Corr
  • Rock this Party – Everybody Dance Now by Bob Sinclair
  • Day ‘N’ Night by Kid Cudi and Crookers
  • Put Your Hands Up for Detroit by Fedde Le Grande
  • Bella Ciao by El Profesor and HUGEL
  • Hello by Martin Solveig and Dragonette
  • I’m an Albatraoz by AronChupa and Little Sis Nora
  • Master of Puppets by Metallica
  • Ballroom Blitz by Sweet
  • I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor
  • Beggin’ by Måneskin
  • Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac
  • Red Wine Supernova by Chappell Roan

I’m certain I’ve forgotten to list a couple, but these ones almost always light a spark in me while I’m doing something physical, and I hope they have the same effect on you.
