This past weekend, Blaine and I and his mom and dad attended a lovely wedding in Flamborough, Ontario. The groom is a friend and co-worker of Blaine’s, as well as Blaine’s dad, and we had been looking forward to the celebration since our invitation arrived in the mail.
The now newlyweds chose The Earth to Table Farm as their venue, and Blaine and I agreed that this is one of the nicest wedding venues we have been to. It isn’t necessarily that the venue is particularly over the top in any sort of manner; rather, it is the opposite, beautiful in its simplicity. A gorgeous barn with an accompanying silo greets you while walking across the lovely patio area equipped with an outdoor bar and two firepits. Upon entry through two stunning and seriously massive glass doors, you walk into a restored barn detailed with a stunning vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, walls lined with large windows to allow for natural light, and plenty of space.
Here is a description of the location from the pearleweddings.ca website:
“The Farm: The Earth to Table Farm is located on 97 acres of beautiful farmland in Flamborough. With breathtaking views and ambience to spare, The Farm will provide you with the rustic chic wedding you’ve been dreaming of. This is a unique place that truly celebrates all that is good about food – and is the perfect backdrop for the celebration of your vows.
“The Barn: Thoughtfully restored to match the significance of the occasion, The Farm takes a humble structure and makes it something magnificent. Featuring original wood beams and details from the 1800s, the furnishings include harvest tables that speak to the setting’s country ambience, while graceful chandeliers are suspended over the room in urbane counterpoint.
“Outdoor Chapel: Set amongst our willow trees overlooking the Halton escarpment our outdoor chapel is a truly seasonal space. Your guests will enjoy an ever changing backdrop as our farm evolves throughout the harvest,” the website states.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue in the Southern Ontario region, I absolutely recommend checking out The Earth to Table Farm. It’s beautiful.
