Remember when FitBit came out and it was all the rage? I know, it seems like eons ago. Regardless of the length of time that has passed since FitBits were still considered relevant, they very much were, at one point, and everyone and their mother had one, myself included. I enjoyed using it, and while I can’t recall the model name I had, it was the one with a slim band. After a few months, though, the band would go to shit, and once my free replacement warranty ended with the company, I visited Amazon to see what sorts of fitness trackers they carried.
I used a few different random brands over the years and continued to have the same issue with the band wearing out. My last one was being held together with scotch tape, so when I checked out Amazon this time around, I was drawn to one in particular that stood out because of its band feature.
The AITAFY smartwatch version I snagged looks a lot like an Apple Watch, but it’s a fraction of the cost. I don’t own an Apple watch, but from what I know about them, they offer the same features this AITAFY watch does. As for the band, it doesn’t have to be removed from the watch face to charge the unit like other models I’ve used in the past; rather, it charges via a magnetic sensor on the back of the watch face, so the straps don’t need to be removed each time it needs some juice.
The battery lasts quite a while, the device is 5ATM waterproof, and it measures heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, activity, stress and more. It has a few different workout modes depending on what sort of activity you feel like dabbling in, and links to your phone via Bluetooth if you so wish.
Name brand or not, I think this watch is just as good as any Apple Watch.
