Looking to boost your brain health? Read this

Brain health, as a general concept, is a rather important one. I think we should probably all aspire to enhance our overall brain health and function seeing as our brains are so significant in regard to what they do, and, thankfully, there are more materials available now than ever before to do just that.

I was searching through the Apple store to see if I could find an app that targets brain function. As I said, all of us should likely be using these sorts of apps, but in my case, the initial reason for seeking out such an app is because of my concussion – I figure some beneficial cranium activity will help my progress.

I ended up ‘purchasing’ the Impulse app from the App Store, but technically I’m riding out the free three-day trial to determine if this app is one I would want to pay for. It isn’t exactly cheap; there is a weekly charge of $9, which seems steep, but if you consider the importance of the brain, I suppose the price should not be the main deterrent.

Impulse is the most used brain power app in the world, according to its description from the App Store. Check out everything this app offers:

“You probably know that, despite aging, your brain is able to grow, learn things and form new neural connections. This process is called brain plasticity and requires regular training. Impulse – Brain Training App offers you a great way to improve your mental health by playing entertaining and challenging mind games. Our quick brain workouts along with proper physical exercising and diet may help to keep your brain clear, sharp and ready for day-to-day life challenges. We offer a diversified range of personalized workout plans for different brain areas (e.g. memory, attention, concentration, mental maths, problem-solving, creativity, etc.) as well as training games aimed at boosting your cognitive abilities. Games are challenging enough to ensure you progress over time and along with that comprehensible to any age and expertise level,” the App Store description states.

I’m really enjoying using this app so far, so I’ll keep you posted if I end up purchasing it in the long run.
