Is your thyroid out of whack?

I had some issues with my thyroid about a year or so back.

I saw a naturopath who prescribed me some supplements to help get my thyroid back in order, however, present day, I’m having some issues once again.

Your thyroid can be such a powerful influence in your overall state of health. It can be difficult to know if your thyroid is out of whack, therefore it is best to always consult your family physician or an expert before making any decision or changes in an attempt to rectify the situation.

Whether you have an underactive thyroid, which is referred to as Hypothyroidism, or an overactive thyroid, which is referred to as Hyperthyroidism, it really is so important to receive a proper diagnosis in order to get things back on track.

I’ve noticed as of late that my overall health isn’t exactly where it should be. I haven’t really felt great for a month, as I’m constantly tired, no matter how much sleep I get, I have an extreme sensitivity to cold, my mood is somewhat all over the place, and I’ve been feeling depressed. I saw my naturopath a few days ago and we’re working to get to the root of whatever issues this is, but it goes to show how strongly your thyroid can affect other bodily functions.

When I had issues in the past, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which may be what is the problem once again currently. But, until I get some tests done, I won’t know for sure, so if you suspect your thyroid isn’t working as it should, book an appointment to see your doctor.

In the meantime, I’ll be more attentive to how I’m feeling or if anything seems off. As I said, your thyroid can cause a ripple effect throughout different systems of the body if it is out of sorts, so pay attention, folks!
