Looking for a clean protein bar? Try RXBAR’s

I can’t really say I’m someone who consumes a lot of protein bars. They’ve never really been of significant interest to me, and considering a lot of us eat them for breakfast and I prefer a warm meal when I wake up, I just haven’t given them a whole lot of thought.

My mom brought home some RXBAR’s from Costco not too long ago for me to try, and while I was hesitant, I decided to give them a fair chance. My mom purchased a combination pack with two flavours (chocolate coconut and chocolate sea salt), and after trying both, I can say with complete sincerity that I have been enjoying RXBAR’s for breakfast ever since.

I suppose you could say I’ve been converted.

In case you haven’t heard of RXBAR’s before, take a look at how they describe themselves via their website.

“Oils, essences, and extracts from natural sources, like spices, fruits, or plants. The natural flavors used in our foods come from real ingredients that could be found in nature and do not include artificial preservatives, added colors, animal products, synthetic or GMO’s.”

Each bar contains egg whites, dates, nuts, chocolate, and whatever additional flavour needed to create a specific bar. All of the ingredients in any given flavour are listed on the outside of the product on its packaging, giving consumers complete clarity in terms of what they are eating. While I have only tried the chocolate coconut and chocolate sea salt flavours, there are dozens more listed on their website, all of which I am eager to try.

The only downside to RXBAR’s is the price. They aren’t cheap, likely because they’re made with high-quality, natural ingredients, and may be too costly for a lot of us. However, if you’re passionate about clean eating and have the funds to spend on better food, I recommend checking these guys out.
