Yes, you really do need an air fryer

I’ve had my eyes on an air fryer ever since Blaine and I moved into our home about four months ago. I figured I could ask for one for Christmas, or wait until one comes on sale, and to be honest, I forgot about getting one for a little while.

That is, until I saw a heavily discounted one available via Amazon’s Prime Day sales, and I hit ‘add to cart’ faster than someone with liquid diarrhea running to make it to a toilet in time.

I purchased the CORSORI air fryer, and while I haven’t used it as much as I would like to, I can say that after using it only a handful of times I really wish I had gotten around to getting one of these bad boys sooner. They’re fucking fantastic in several different ways; they cook food significantly faster than a traditional oven; they give food that deep-fried feel without actually submerging your food in grease and increasing the probability of your arteries clogging up; they’re insanely versatile and can cook a wide variety of foods, everything from breakfast to dessert.

I could continue rambling, but I think you get my point.

I used my air fryer the other night to cook some frozen breaded halibut fillets. In the past, when I’ve done these fillets in the oven, they often come out a wee bit soggy and not at all crunchy.

** air fryer enters the chat **

It’s safe to say I am never cooking fish fillets in the oven again after making them in an air fryer. These things came out as golden as the yellow brick road with a perfect crunchy coating while maintaining an inside texture softer than your grandmother’s slippers.

This thing is a game changer when it comes to cooking, and if you’ve been on the fence about getting one, allow this to be the push you require to hurdle over than fence, barbed wire and all, and get your hands on one ASAP.
