Podcasts aren’t new. They’ve been around for a hot minute, and most of us are fully aware of how great they are.
Everyone but me, apparently, but I am pleased to report that I recently have begun to delve into the black hole of available podcasts, and so far, I’m really enjoying their existence.
In case anyone is unfamiliar with podcasts, they’re essentially audio recordings. There may be one host or multiple, and the subject matter of podcasts can cover just about anything. I have an existing Spotify account so I’ve been browsing podcasts available via this platform, and so far, I am not disappointed.
A few nights ago I was cooking dinner for Blaine and I, and because we still don’t have everything we would like to have in our home, for example, a radio, I decided the silence wasn’t cutting it and decided to give a podcast a try. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much selection is available, and I ended up listening to a paranormal podcast.
You know, some light material to wind down for the day. I’m a psycho in some ways, I know.
Anyways, I found this particular podcast to be quite interesting, and because I’ve never listened to a full one before, not have I ever listened to one while cooking dinner, I found the experience to be quite enjoyable.
Podcasts are the shit in the sense that there is literally one to suit everybody. There are podcasts for cooking; health; learning; crime; true crime; sports; literature; film; celebrity news; technology; fitness; mental health; wellness; you name it. I would challenge someone to state that they are unable to find a podcast that appeals to them.
Don’t be like me and rob yourself of the wonders of podcasts. If you’ve never dabbled in them, I highly recommend you give ’em a try.
